Douglas is a former aerospace systems engineer with the US Space Shuttle Program, turned international public speaker and advocate for global sustainability. He is dedicated to advancing smart technology solutions that improve global sustainability in various sectors.
Douglas has been involved in the sustainable agriculture space for over a decade, via his agritech startup pursuits, to becoming a delegate of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (UNFAO) Private Sector Mechanism.
Initially representing his own agritech startup, Douglas now wants to help bring other voices to the table. He is regularly invited to participate in UNFAO global food security summits and meetings, visiting the UNFAO in Rome multiple times to engage directly with key figures in that space. Douglas is also frequently invited to participate in academic and professional agritech conferences outside of the UNFAO space.
As the Chief Liaison Officer for CLS, Douglas is offering the opportunity to bring smart companies to global tables, empowering them with information and giving them a voice where they currently don’t have one.
